Linux Information
As a user of linux for many years, I run a number of linux boxes at home.
A Smoothwall box
serves as my NAT-ing internet firewall, with a RedHat box behind it,
handling the routing between my internet connection, my home ethernet network, my
home wireless network, and my WAFreeNet
link, as well has running Squid, DNS, DHCP, VPN and numerous other services.
Another RedHat box provides file and print sharing services via Samba and CUPS,
and also hosts my mail server, running qmail, qmail-scanner, clamav and spamassassin.
I've been putting together some guides on installing
and configuring various components on linux boxes.
I'm making them available on the web in the hope that
they'll benefit some people.
Use the menu on the left to navigate around this part of the site.
More information to come:
- lm_sensors and RRDTool
- iptables and routing
- Samba installation/configuration
- Apache installation/configuration
- CUPS installation/configuration
- dhcpd installation/configuration
